Ignorance

AN: Well, here I am again with ANOTHER angsty story.

You see, I WANT to have a story for EVERY character on the list. So, if you have ANY ideas, please review or PM me!

Also, you'll probably be hearing from Max(musiclover99) soon with a story like this. Nah, she didn't copy; coincidentally, we both thought of the same idea. Weird, huh? Seriously.

Anyways, WE WON THE PJO AWARD FOR FRIENDSHIP! *crowd cheers* Yay!

Disclaimer: I don't own PJO.

(Takes place during SoM.)

They think he's so ignorant, naïve. They think he can't see the pointing, or the stares, or that he can't hear the jokes or laughter.

All of them whisper behind his back. They think he's a monster; a mistake. He doesn't belong here, and they make it certainly clear. This camp was made to protect them from… monsters like him. That's all they thought he was: a ruthless, cruel monster.

He wants to tell them that he's not like the others; he would never purposely hurt them. All he's trying to do is befriend them, and they just stay clear from him. They hate him. They want to kill him. They want him out of their camp.

Even his own brother, the person who'd been the only friend to him ever, was ashamed to be near him. Percy thought he couldn't hear him deny being related to him, but in reality, Tyson could hear it crystal clear.

And it hurt.

They thought he couldn't hear any of the mean, cruel things they said about him. They thought he was ignorant of it all. That he was so damn innocent. That even if he heard or saw them doing these awful things, he wouldn't care. After all, he was just an emotionless monster that just wanted to kill them or eat them.

But behind that blissful mask of ignorance is a hurting being with feelings. Don't they know how much it hurts to hear all those things said about him? No, of course they don't. They think he's naïve of everything, which he's definitely not. It's all just a lie, a wall to keep them from seeing the hurt that's hidden beneath the mask.

They think he's so ignorant, naïve. They think he can't see the pointing, or the stares, or that he can't hear the jokes or laughter. But he isn't as ignorant as he seems.

Review, please! Send me ideas for the characters!
