Liam liked to watch her sleep. In the hours of peace before the rest of the world awoke and reminded them why they were not together. The early sun painting the bedroom a warm orange and he finds he can be hopeful in these hours. He is astounded by her, the fine network of blue veins under the surface of her flawless skin. He is struck by just how fragile she is and how this makes her strength even more amazing. And he wants nothing more than to protect her and love her. Liam can't take his eyes of her.
