Summary: From Elliot's drinking problem, to making his friendship with Rios worse than before, these are the misfortunate events in his life that makes him feel numb, but will it change?

Pairing: Tyson Rios & Elliot Salem

Warnings for the Chapter: None (Unless you count the drinking binge :I )

7 million people or your best friend.

Sacrificing one life for thousands and thousands of people should've been easy for Elliot to decide between.

But when it came down to it, he just couldn't do it.

And the look on his partner's face after he shot that bastard to death was worse than any wound he had received throughout his life.

"Salem... Do you know what you did?."

"...Yeah."

"So your ready for what's coming."

"...No."

Elliot laughed weakly and downed the remains of the vodka within the clear bottle in his hand, throat burning in the alcohol's wake. Flashbacks of that day replayed over and over in his mind as he got onto wobbly legs and stumbled over to the fridge to continue his drinking binge, grabbing a beer and going back to the couch.

He had been released from his position with Rios when they found out he was getting mentally unstable, followed by meetings with a new therapist and more prescribed pills to calm him down. Totally helped his PTSD.

After a few more beers and a stumble to the bathroom, he was passed out beside the toilet with the reminence of his evening in the porcelain seat.

Of course, the only one willing to stick around found him there after having been sent back to take care of the smaller man.

Tyson sighed as he walked into the apartment, crinkling his nose at the stench of alcohol.

Already seeming to know where the brunette was, he headed to the bathroom, looking at the curled up unconcious man. Analyzing the scene before him for a moment, he went into the bathroom completely, flushing the toilet and plucking Elliot up off of the floor. He shut the light off and carried his friend into his own bedroom, laying him down onto the mattress before covering him with a comforter. Tyson then proceeded to clean up after Salem and set some Ibus by the bed on the nightstand for the other when he woke up, finally able to relax afterwards.

'He really wasn't kidding when he said no..."

~End of Chapter 1~

Still so short, but I swear as I progress, they'll get longer. Hopefully. Reviews would be nice~ :)
