With a single touch Cas had healed him; had removed all evidence of Lucifer's savage beating. And at that same moment Dean's ravaged body was made whole again; he was no longer covered in a plethora of battle-scars - just as when he had returned from the pit. Even the hand-print seared into his flesh, marking him as the chosen one, had vanished.
"Why?" Dean questioned, rubbing at his now scar-free shoulder.
"I am not the same angel that raised you from perdition," Cas murmured. "I wish to forget him … just as I wish for you to forget hell."
This is something I've been wondering about – does Dean still have that scar? Hopefully we'll find out next season.
