"I wonder when she's gonna wake up." Soul said to himself. He had been sitting at his meisters' bedside for a little over an hour now. It was only at this moment he realized that it was snowing outside. He walked over to the window and looked out over the snow covered streets. When is she gonna wake up, I can't wait to give her her present.
"S-Soul." Maka said as she was waking up. He spun around to look at her. "Yea, what's up?" His face softened as he looked at her. "Did you really get me a present?" She asked with those emerald green eyes he could never get enough of. Soul swore under his breath, aw man I was thinking out loud again. "Yea, but it was supposed to be a surprise." He gave a sort of half smile and sat down beside her.
"That's sweet of you." Maka said with a smile. Soul blushed lightly and turned his head a bit. Maka looked down, "I got you a present, too." "Really?" Soul asked with surprise as he looked back at her. "Yea." She said as she pulled out the gift she had gotten him. It was wrapped in red and green with a blue bow on top. She handed it to him with a smile. He accepted her gift and handed Maka the present he picked out for her. He had picked out wrapping paper with little penguins skiing on it and topped with a red bow. Maka laughed, "How cute." He blushed a deep red and opened his gift. She had gotten him the headphones he had been eyeing for weeks. He smirked at her as she opened her present. She started smiling that smile he loved. She pulled out seven sets of ribbons for her pig-tails. "Oh Soul," she exclaimed as she hugged him. "I love them." He smiled and whispered in her ear, "I love you."
