"Why don't you just get out?!"
Axel was in distress. He had been traveling for two weeks, nothing in mind, but just to escape Twilight Town. Every single road in that godforsaken town was lined with her magazines. Every single store had her poster on display. Everything reminded him of her.
He needed to get a grip on life. In a few years, she'd be on her way to fame and fortune. Strutting down the catwalk was no place for a childhood friend, so, he left. Seeing her looking down on him, pitying him, just killed Axel inside. She'd already broken his heart, but he still loved her. Dark hair and blue eyes still were beautiful, he could never forget that. He could never forget thinking of her in every moment, every day. How embracing for hours felt. What went wrong?
Sighing, Axel lifelessly looked upon his location. A graveyard was exactly the place he should have been. Despite his usual confident attitude, seeing her happy without him and then having to have her flat-out admit he needed to leave was sickening. Drowned in the thoughts of her, Axel grabbed a stone off the ground and wrote into an empty gravestone: "R.I.P. You + Me."
