Something Strange

Tidus liked to sit by himself, near the ledge where he always trained. It was nice. He had a good view of the island and it was only him. He could just... think.

He would devise new blitzball moves, plan different tactics to beat Riku, wonder about the secrets of that cave by the waterfall. There was one thing, though, that he puzzled over the most. Something he knew was missing. Something... strange.

He'd see her in dreams sometimes. A girl. Her hair was brown and short, and her eyes were shocking. One green, one blue. Carrying her staff, she would walk solemnly — on water — and begin to spin and twirl against the sunset. There were all these people around... people he knew. And this place; he knew it too. He'd been through it all before, he was sure.

But how? He'd never been off his island before. Stupid. He was stupid.

When he thought of her, though... he could remember one thing. Her name.

Her name was Yuna.
