This is my first fanfiction so any Reviews would be great, Thanks:-)

Professor Longbottom sat peacefully in his office. He often sat down and thought about his past life, full of excitement and adventure. But today he couldn't keep his mind off a certain theft that had happened in 3rd year. He had just purchased a lovely red lollipop from honeydukes and was just about to take a lick as it was wrenched from his hand and floated out the door of the shop. He remembered sitting staring at his hands for about fifteen minutes before getting up and buying another one.

Neville still couldn't get it out of his head. It was very silly of course and out of all the things that had happened since then it seemed quite ridiculous to even get upset about it, but Neville wanted answers. So he got out of is comfortable arm chair and set off for the Owlery.

As he picked his way across the poo stained floor of the Owlery a boy in his 2nd year came into view.

"Good evening Professor Longbottom" said James Sirius Potter. "What are you doing up here?"

Neville thought for a moment and decided to have a quick conversation with his best friends son. He proceeded to tell the lollipop story to James and at the end of it he was surprised to see James In stitches. Wiping a tear from his eye he said "Oh I think I've heard that story before" and with a wink he left the Owlery. Neville wasn't the brightest of people so he thought about his conversation with James and completely forgot about sending his letter.

The next morning Neville was sat at the head table next to Professor Finnigan, just tucking into a bowl of porridge when the post came. To His surprise a small package dropped into his lap. He un-wrapped it and found to his surprise a rather large red lollipop. He looked down in puzzlement for a moment and then looked up at the Gryffindor table

And James Sirius Potter gave him a wink.
