Savannah Auden sat at the kitchen table in the Dursley's house, drumming her fingers and waiting for her father to come say goodbye. He was currently talking to Mr. and Mrs. Dursley about Savannah's stay at their home. She knew they didn't like magic, but if the president of Wizarding America wants his daughter to go to a certain school, he could convince damn near everyone.

Vanna had grown up in a small town in Texas, which was surprising considering how important her father was. She had the typical Southern accent, but that was where the Southern stereotypes ended. She was well read, and spoke more proper than any of the kids she knew (except when she was mad. Then she sounded like some white trash hillbilly. A/N please do not be offended by this. I am one of those people that sound like white trash hillbillies when angered). She had what one would call the 'grunge style'. She wore raggedy clothes, dark lipstick, and her hair was always a mess. A stylish mess, mind you. She hated country music, cowboy boots, and almost everything camo. She was happy to go to England. A new environment, where she wouldn't be greeted by bible-thumpers everywhere she turned. The church-goers where the worst on her. Either she wasn't 'feminine' enough, or her lipstick was too dark, or she 'would never get a boyfriend with that attitude'(her grandmother's words). She was sick and tired of it.

She was pulled out of her mental rant by her father coming into the room and giving her a hug. "I love you so much Vanna. I hope you have an amazing time."

"I love you too daddy. I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too. Don't forget to write, and behave the Dursleys."

"I will. Tell Mama I love her."

"I will. I promise."

Her dad broke their hug, and he gave her a kiss on the forehead and walked outside. Vanna followed, and watched him apparate away with a loud crack.

A/N I know, its a short chapter, but the other ones will be longer. I promise! I hope you like this story, and if you have any suggestions or critiques, please comment!
