Summary: Elena reflects wonders if Mattie and Pattie are right and reflects on her feelings.

Random thought I had before I fell asleep a couple days ago, and I'm only just now writing it. For some reason, I always get my best ideas at night or when I'm going to bed.

I'm not giving up on Forgotten Love, I'm just kinda mad cuz I almost had the chapter finished, then my laptop's Internet connection messed up and I had to restart my whole computer and all my data was lost.

Elena threw the phone down on her bed and glared at it.

There's no way they're right.

Mattie and Pattie had called and asked yet again if Zick had asked her out yet. She sat on the edge of her bed.

What do they mean, has he asked me out yet? He doesn't think of me that way, and I don't think of him as anything more than a friend. A best friend, close friend, whatever. I don't like him that way. Besides, it's too cliche.

Elena crossed her arms and legs and frowned, closing her eyes. Purrcy jumped up into her lap and started purring. She scratched his head and again glared at the phone in front of her.

Why's it their business anyway? Why do they care? I know he'll never ask me out.

That last thought saddened her a bit, much to her own confusion.

Why does that bother me? I don't like him!

Of course you don't like him, you love him.

No I don't! He's only my friend! And why am I arguing with myself?

Because you know you love him, you're in denial.

Elena groaned and shoved her face in a pillow, trying to get rid of the small voice in her head she hated so much right now. She knew it was right, but that didn't mean she had to like it.

It's too cliche. I could never like him that way.

The phone started to call out it's annoying, high pitched ring. Elena tried to ignore it, but found it a hard task. She picked it up on the fourth ring.

"Hello?"

"Elena, has he asked you out yet?"

"No! We're just friends, so leave me alone and stop stalking me or I'll call the police!" She hung up again and placed the phone back on the charger with a huff. She pushed Purrcy off her lap and looked out the window.

"Maybe they're right..." she murmured to herself as she saw Zick outside his house training with Zob. He saw her and waved with a grin on his face. She gave a weak smile and waved back.
