Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "James's Pride" with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.
It was a beautiful day on the Island of Sodor. All the engines were working hard, being really useful, and helping each-other out.
Sir Topham Hatt came to see James.
"Today, Percy will be working at the coaling plant on his own." announced Sir Topham Hatt. "I want you to look after him."
"Yes sir!" exclaimed James. He felt very excited.
Sir Topham Hatt then walked away.
"I'm the greatest looking-after engine ever!" boasted James. "I'm top-notch and splendid!"
And with that, James happily puffed off to the coaling plant.
Percy was shunting freight cars when James arrived.
"Guess who's looking after you?" asked James.
"You?" replied Percy.
"Yes! I'm here to make sure that you're being really useful!"
Percy was excited.
"Just one favor James. Please don't boss me around that much." said Percy.
"I won't!" replied James.
And so Percy went back to shunting the freight cars.
But later, James started to bother Percy.
"Do some more shunting!" he called to Percy.
Percy was tired. He tried to shunt the freight cars, but he couldn't!
"I can't do it!" he cried.
"Shunt harder!" replied James.
Percy was now very cross.
"You're supposed to be helping me, not bossing me around!" shouted Percy.
James felt bad for his friend.
"I'm sorry Percy." sighed James. "I promise I won't boss you around anymore.
Percy was pleased.
"I accept your apology James." replied Percy.
James smiled.
The rest of the day went well for the two friends, and Sir Topham Hatt was so pleased with Percy, that he agreed to let James watch Percy for the rest of the week.
And James was the happiest engine ever.
