Lucy's P.O.V
The number one rule for fighting vampires especially Hel-Blar is never run. They would chase you down and try to kill you. Not that Hel-Blar didn't always try to kill you but they'll be dead locked in a hunt they can't get out of and your only option is killing them. So when a group largely out numbered me and my friends that's exactly what I did.
As I ran through the woods all the Hel-Blar turned to pursue me in hunt. I was already tired and panting for breath but if I stopped running I'd die.
I heard a scream and smelt ash and I knew Kieran, Hunter or Chloe staked one. I kept on running and Kieran, Chloe and Hunter kept on staking.
As I ran I tripped over a giant oak tree root. This gave the Hel-Blar time to catch up to me. Though by some miracle I managed to get up. Though my leg was bleeding and this only intensified the Hel-Blar's hunt.
I turned around with a flip like you'd see in one of those action movies that Solange and I always used to watch before everything happened. My gym teacher would have been so proud or scared. Probably both. During the flip I even managed to stake a Hel-Blar. The gross mushroom stench filled the air.
Then I started running again after staking 3 more Hel-Blar.
There was only one left whose skin was by far one of the bluest I've ever seen. They we're creepy versions of the people from that movie Avatar which Nicholas and I watched
"That's it." I heard Hunter say faintly from a long distance away.
Then I couldn't run any longer as the pain in my leg became more and more tense. Then with luck I staked the last Hel-Blar but not before he bit me and started drinking my blood.
