Disclaimer: I do not own Trinity Blood, or any of its characters.

Summary: A poem from Abel to Esther. Tell me if it is not good or doesn't flow with the story because I'm just beginning to write poems and stories about Trinity Blood. Constructive criticism will be taken.

"Remorse"

The beast within broke through, showing itself to you

I'm sorry you had to see me break

I could not bear to see your face at that moment;

keep away for your sake.

It is something I choose to feel sorrow for,

it is a burden I continue to hold,

I know that someday, I will get a punishment for it,

It will be my sevenfold.

Promise me, Esther, that when I break out,

know that all hope is futile

Promise me you'll rendezvous,

leave me for a while.

I cannot bear the weight of both

seeing and feeling the pain

To know that I, a preacher, feel sorrow

is driving me insane

Esther, my love, forgive me

It is something I choose to leave alone.

Only my fate will guide me,

Only my fate will guide me
