Walking...walking...and running and sprinting and tripping and falling and—
"NOOO!" Emperor Peony yelled. He stood frozen, mortified as he watched Jade tumble headfirst down the marble staircase.
"Jade!"
He was by Jade's side in a flash, extremely worried. When Jade didn't move, he nudged him gently. No response.
"Oh, Lorelei... please, no..."
Tears streamed down his face. A maid ran for help, and quickly returned with medics.
Peony looked up in time to see Jade come skidding around the corner, worried about Peony.
The Emperor leapt up and embraced him. "Oh, Jade...I should pay more attention to my rappigs..."
