WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE SEVENTH AND FINAL BOOK IN THE SERIES DO NOT READ THIS!!!

January. A cold month, bitter and cruel. On the street corner sits a small and aged shop. The sign reads "Weasly's Wizard Wheezes". Inside, only one man remains. He looks sad and downtrodden. A few months ago, he was joking and happy. But no longer.

As he lifts the last box and levitates it out the door, he brushes his red hair out of his eyes. He lightly brushes where his ear used to be and winces.

As he's about to leave, he notices someone standing outside the shop. A girl with dull auburn hair looks up at the sign almost longingly. She notices him and steps in.

"Are you closing up for the day?" she asked sweetly.

George Weasly shook his head. "I'm afraid we're closing for good Miss. Terribly sorry."

Her face fell visibly. "But, but why? I always enjoyed this shop. Never went in mind you, but all the same…" she broke off, looking disappointed.

She suddenly noticed something was awry. "Say, where's your partner? Twin… whatever." She asked, looking about.

"I'm afraid he's… he's no longer with us." He replied. Her hand shot to her mouth as she murmured her apologies. George shrugged. "It's alright. He lived a good life." The words took some effort to get out, and they felt hollow to him.

She nodded. "I see." She whispered. There was an uncomfortable silence.

"I suppose you know Remis Lupin then?" she said suddenly.

George was taken aback. "Well… yeah. I did." He answered uneasily. "Why do you ask?"

She laughed slightly. "Oh, he was a good man. Stable, trust worthy. Nothing like I was."

"Was?"

She seemed to not hear him though, and continued, "I was so foolish. Can you believe I wanted to be a werewolf? Of course, I had also tried Muggle things they call 'drugs' and I think it may have messed with my mind a bit. You know how it is…" she trailed off.

"Greyback wouldn't do it though." She sighed. "At first I tried Remus, but he wouldn't do it of course. Said I was stupid and should go home. That's when I turned to Greyback." She shook her head. "He wouldn't do it because I wanted it. He said it was no fun if they were willing. So he killed me instead."

George was thoroughly stunned by this announcement. It had taken him this long to realize that her body was a bit transparent. "So you're a-"

"A ghost?" she finished. "Yes, a ghost. And I must say this would be a fine place to haunt… that is, if you leave it." She attempted to put a hand on his shoulder, but it slipped through, sending chills up George's spine. "Please don't close the shop." She whispered. "You know your brother wouldn't want that. And so do I."

He thought about it. He looked at the boxes stacked outside the door, ready to be toted home. He looked at the shelves, covered in dust. He looked at the ghost, whose eyes were shining with tears.

He walked out the door and picked up a box. "Well, if I'm staying, then I'd better get these unpacked."

The ghost sailed over his head with joy. "Can I help? Oh, can I PLEASE?" she begged.

George nodded. "Go spread the word that Weasly's Wizard Wheezes is back in business!"

The end! I guess at the end of the book I was just wondering what would happen to their shop, and so I answered my own question. Yay.
