"We'll have a new Defence Against Dark Arts professor?"asked Ron.

Dumbledore had come fit an Order Meeting and at Molly's insistence had stayed for dinner. He chuckled at the question.

"Yes, we will. And since unfortunately Alastor had refused to return as a teacher..."

"I have never a teacher to begin with Albus!I was locked all year in a truck! And unconscious!"interrupted Mad Eye.

"Yes, well that's true, but you still could have accepted the position. Anyway our new professor for Defense Against The Dark Arts is called Doctor John Smith."

"Doctor?"perked up Hermione. It couldn't be...

"Yes,my dear. Doctor John Smith." said the headmaster

"Who is he Albus?"asked Remus, also forced to stay by Molly.(In fact half of the order was there, few had remained unswayed by her. Severus of course had not been convinced.)

"I do not know. He seemed a nice person. And a trustworthy one, but this only time will tell. But I did not have a choice. Or him or a Ministry employee. He was the best shot I had. Nobody else had wanted the job."

"And who the Ministry wanted to send?"asked Arthur.

"Dolores Umbridgide."he said.

"What?"shouted Remus.

"Exactly."stated Albus.

"What?"asked everybody else. Except Hermione. Fur once she wasn't paying was thinking about this new professor.

Could it be him? The Doctor? He had to be. Unconsciously she squeezed in her hand the pendant she always wore:a key. But it was not any key. It was a Tardis key. Given to her by the Doctor. She had this ever since she was a kid, because even then she travelled with him. It would be weird now to travel with a man that did not know her. That was not her uncle, but rather a stranger. A familiar one, but a stranger nonetheless.

She would have to win his trust, to prove that she was trustworthy. She hadn't his trust automatically as she had had it when she had first met him. No. That Doctor had known for years and years and even if he wouldn't have he still would have trusted her because she was Amy's grandaughter, and his niece. She was family. Then. Not now.

How strange will be!And she had to help him. If she remembered correctly this Doctor was still fresh from Darillium, he couldn't go to libraries. He hated them.
