Chance Meetings
Prologue
I woke up in my room, a hollowed out oak tree that has housed the royal family for hundreds of generations. For elves that is a very long time, but who kept track of that. There is a small bed in the far right corner of the room. A few feet away from that is a small wardrobe. But other than that it is a plain room. The only other thing was a mirror to the far left. I grabbed one of the dresses; all of them were exactly the same. It is low cut that leads into two triangles; there is a diamond pattern around the waist, neckline, and the shorts under the two flaps of the skirts. It is sky blue, the color of the royal family. I put the dress on, then a simple silver choker, a circular necklace, and then tied a bow in back, before I put the hairpin in that shows my station.
I grabbed a bag out of the closet and threw five of the same outfit in it. My father was sending me away to make peace with an old enemy through marriage. I had no choice in the matter. I grabbed my bow and arrows, the quiver was near my hip for easy access. The bow slung across my back along with an ocarina. I walked over to the mirror to make sure that I was presentable.
I have long, straight light purple hair and blue-green eyes. This trait is only found in high born elves. I have pale skin and about five foot, nine inches tall. I have the normal handle bar ears that are found in elves. I'm two-hundred years old as of today.
"Sapphire, it is time to go." My father said from outside my door. My hand maiden grabbed my bag and we followed him to the ship.
Upon entering the ship I grabbed the bag from the girl and smiled at her. "I can carry it; you go and do something else, like talk to the crew." I said before putting my things in an escape pod that would be used as my room, as a precaution if we are attacked. I moved to sit down in the captain's chair. I pulled out my ocarina and started to play.
"The princess is so talented." They cooed while I ignored them, closing my eyes. A few days passed and we were halfway to our destination when we were attacked. The ship had the insignia of the clan we were headed to. A maid the color blue with wings.
I stood up and said "Prepare yourselves; this isn't going to be easy."
"My lady, get into the escape pod and we will pick you up after we handle them." One man said and I sighed. I got into the pod and they launched it into space, headed to the planet earth. Something shot at me, but they kept missing, but not too far from it, one hit. My head slammed into the side of the ship and darkness consumed my vision.
