Remus/Lily
She radiated warmth. There was something about her that captivated him. It mystified him that anyone - especailly someone so beautiful, so innocent - could ever care about someone so - gruesome. He hated himself, he hated what he was and what he could not control. He resented being a monster.
But, she didn't care. He knew she knew he wasn't like all of the other students - even if she wasn't sure why. He knew that she knew something troubled him and she was concerned.
That confused him. He couldn't quite fathom how someone so perfect could care for somone so - not.
But, at the sound of her voice, with the warmth of her smile, with the single touch of her hand - his anxiety melted away. Her eyes shined like emeralds and her hair danced around her shoulders like flames on a hearth.
She wanted him to be happy and even though he didn't deserve it - she made him feel worthy.
And he loved her for it.
an. going to start it off with a little unrequited. It was originally going to be longer but, I liked the way that sounded for the ending. chapter two will hopefully be up sometime soon.
