CLOUD'S BOUTIQUE

"We have other goods...if you're interested that is."

Squall Leonhart lifted his eyes slowly, regarding the older man behind the counter. His eyes were vibrant blue, his hair peaked in large spikes of pale blond and beneath his apron he wore a purple polo-neck jumper.

"...what kind of goods?" The younger man asked carefully.

"Goods you might be interested in." The shopkeeper remarked, his face betraying no sign of expression.

"Whatever." Squall murmured, brushing his hair from his eyes and turning to leave.

The shopkeeper knelt down and, from behind the counter, brought out an elaborate cardboard box tied with a pink bow and placed it carefully on the surface before him.

Leonhart paused momentarily.

"What's that?" He asked, careful not to say too much for fear of showing himself overly cautious.

"Open it." The shopkeeper said with indifference.

The younger man hung back for a moment and then, with a shrug, reached out with gloved hands and pulled the delicate pink bow away. Gently he lifted the lid of the cardboard box to reveal a delicate purple silk dress.

Squall looked at it carefully and then slowly removed the glove from his right hand and ran his fingers over the delicate material.

"The quality's good." He remarked.

"We've got other goods if you'd care to see them."

The younger man shrugged.

"Whatever." He remarked.

The shopkeeper nodded and drew out several bottles of cologne, two carefully made wigs, one of a colour so pale that Squall wondered if it had been made from the shopkeeper's excess hair or simply dyed that way, and two more dresses - cotton and satin respectively.

Carefully he looked at each item, a faint line of blush crossing his face despite himself.

"I'll take them." He said simply.

The shopkeeper nodded.

"What if one more turns up?"

Squall paused and with a faint smile, the shopkeeper leant down once more and drew out an elaborate bottle from beneath the counter. Carefully, the younger man read the bottle's label out loud:

"Sexy Cologne..." He lifted his eyes and met with the other's own. "I guess you can handle that one."

The shopkeeper nodded but said nothing and carefully Squall reached for his wallet..
