Embry/Seth

Seth couldn't help but stare at Jacob as he got up and left to go on patrol. The bonfire was winding down and most of the pack had left already. The only ones left were Seth and Embry. Jacob, Quil, and Jared had helped clean up before leaving for patrol. When Seth stopped watching where Jake had gone, he turned to see Embry watching him with a questioning look in his eyes.

Seth blushed slightly and said, "Uh, you saw that?"

Embry nodded, a grin starting to appear as he saw his boyfriend's embarrassment, "Yeah, I did. Should I be worried?"

The younger wolf quickly shook his head and his face grew redder, "No, its nothing. I used to have a huge crush on Jake before I imprinted on you. He's still good looking, but I'm not about to try anything."

Embry wrapped an arm around Seth's waist and pulled him close, "I know, pup, I know. You're not the only one who can notice good looking guys."

Seth looked up into Embry's eyes, clearly surprised, "Really? Who is it? Do I know them? Did anything happen?"

He chuckled at Seth's energy and excitement and did his best to answer all of Seth's questions, "Yes, really, and you do know him. Nothing happened between us because there wasn't ever really an 'us.' I was too scared to do anything."

Seth was getting impatient, "So? Who was it?"

"Paul," as Seth gasped, Embry continued, "but I got the feeling that he wouldn't be interested."

Seth grinned suddenly, "Kind of strange that they went and imprinted on each other like we did. Guess they like challenging each other."

Embry nodded and looked around, deciding it was time to leave, "Come on, pup, we need to get you back home."

They got up and began walking back to Seth's house, while Seth let out a frustrated sigh, "I'm not a little kid, you know."

"I know, really. I just don't want Leah or your mom upset with me. It was hard enough talking her down the first time, I can't imagine what it take to do it a second time."

Seth frowned, confused, "Wait, what? You talked to Leah about us?"

Embry put his arm around Seth's waist again, "Yeah, I did. I wanted to make sure she wouldn't get in the way of there being an 'us.' I think being part of the pack helped or else I'm sure she would've been worried I'd just dump you like Sam did to her. But she knew about imprinting and I think that was the thing that clinched it for us."

Seth's frown became a smile. He knew Embry never liked starting confrontations, he was the shy and quiet type that tried to prevent fights from erupting. Plus Leah was admittedly a bit bitchy every time she phased or was around Sam or sometimes just for no reason, so he knew Embry would've been really stressed out about having to confront her.

He rested his head on his imprint's shoulder and asked, "You think you could stay with me tonight?"

Embry's grip tightened, "Yeah, if I'm allowed to stay."

"I wish we had our own place. We wouldn't have to worry about that."

Embry just chuckled, "At least its an option at your place, my mom would never let me have a boy over for the night."

Seth just nodded silently. He hated that Embry's mom didn't accept him or them, but Embry kept insisting that it wasn't a big deal so he wasn't going to do anything about it. But he was very glad that his mom agreed to let Embry stay over for the night, on the condition that the two of them didn't do anything while she and Leah were in the house. Idly, he wondered if either of them knew that he and Embry had already done it in the house, several times.

But for now he was just happy to be able to get into bed with Embry alongside him. He couldn't keep the smile off his face as Embry laid down on his back and pulled the younger wolf to him, letting Seth bury his face in his imprint's chest before they both drifted off to sleep.
