26th may '07. DF does not own CCS, Clamp does.
onesided sakura/yukito, implied touya/yukito, implied syaoran/sakura. DF shall glare ferociously at anyone who maintains this isnt cannon. Please note that I use the original japanese manga names, but write them the english way round, ie: given name, then family name.
Shade #1 - Pink
If you asked Tomoyo Daidouji, she would say sakura kinomoto's favourite colour is pink. It is the colour that suits her best, cheerful and light, contrasting with her emerald eyes and her autumnal brown hair. 'Sakura-chan looks so pretty in pink', her best friend would sigh, hands clasped, eyes sparkling.
If you asked Fujitaka Kinomoto, he would say his daughter's favourite colour is pink. It is the colour of her flower, her mother's beloved cherry blossoms and so Sakura cherishes it as her mother cherished her.
If you asked Kaho Mizuki-sensei, she would say that young Sakura's favourite colour is pink. The colour of young love, fresh and bright and brief. 'A crush is just a crush' she would say, 'but only through time and the return of affections can it truly bloom into the ruby-rose.'
If you asked Syaoran Li, he would blush furiously and say that he wouldn't know and doesn't care, Sakura wouldn't tell him these things, it's a stupid question anyway. But he sees her with a far-away smile lighting her face as she holds the full set of pink and gold sakuracards for the first time and suddenly he's no longer jealous that she owns them, if only she would smile for a little longer.
If you asked Sakura Kinomoto, she would tell you that pink is the colour of her life: of the blossoms, of her favourite rollerblades, of the ribbons in her hair, of her beloved cards – now finally, truly, hers – of her pens and her books and of the watch Yukito bought her…
And that pink is the colour his cheeks turn when Touya takes his hand, of a smile that's not for her and never will be.
Pink, she would tell you, is a childish colour. She prefers green.
AN: Personally, I associate Syaoran with green, hence the final sentence. Make up your own minds.
For clinicalpoet, whose favourite colour is green & because I promised him one.
