"What about pulse? We don't need anyone thinking of her as a zombie. Even though she was clinically dead."
A snort sounded. "Of course I checked for a pulse, dummy. She's fine, she's got one—happy?"
"Very, Ms. Prissy Pants."
An exhale of breath. "Look who's talking. Anyways, we shouldn't keep Nadia-sama waiting too long. You know how she gets when she's bored."
"Ugh, don't remind me. Don't need to relive those memories again. I've already checked her other physical states, and she's maintained her previous level athleticism. Amazingly enough, her body managed to keep and acknowledge her previous amount of chakra. But what's most astonishing is her Ability."
"Oh? What is it? Don't tell me we managed to get another S-level one."
"…Better. Go ahead and guess."
A pause, and then a gasp. "No! Not another Element! Nadia-sama's gonna be ecstatic! I mean, she's already managed to collect Water and Fire, and now another one?! Wow! What is it, what is it? Tell me!"
A bark of laughter. "Hah! No way. You find out when Nadia-sama finds out. Anyways, we need to give her a new name. I was thinking Number 3."
"Whaat? No way, we're definitely not naming her that. It's such a shame we couldn't keep her old name. It suited her so well. Why did the others get to keep their names, and not this one?"
"You know how Nadia-sama works. What goes on in her mind is set on default to remain a mystery to us. And if you don't like Number 3, I guess we could always just go to Nadia-sama for it. At the very least, having her give this one a name would keep her off her boredom. And Lucis-sama would appreciate it."
"Heh, that's true. We should get going now, before Nadia-sama goes on another one of her fits. Bye-bye Subject 20, hope you get your wish."
"Dummy, she won't be able to remember what her wish was. After all, all of us Subjects wake up with amnesia. But who knows, maybe she kept her past life like Water did."
And then they were gone.
