A/n: Hi,

I was bored and kind of wanted to read a coach Beiste/Blaine story only to find out that there aren't many of those. (And one of them is kind of freaking me out...)

Anyways I decided to write one myself. It's not really my idea, but Darren Criss', I don't know if you guys have seem the interview from Glee live where someone asked who would you spend an hour with: Silvester or Beiste?

Summary: What if Darren's story during Glee live really happened? What if coach Beiste and Blaine shared an apartment? NO ROMANCE!

I hope you guys enjoy!

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Roommates

Season 1 - episode 1: Pilot

"What do you mean; share my apartment?" Shannon asked surprised. When her friend, Dorie Sanks, told her that there was something important she had to tell her, Beiste didn't expect her friend to mention a boy. More precisely, a 14 year old boy. "I barely have enough space for myself here, Dorie."

"I know, but please let me explain." Dorie started desperately. "His parents are never home and he needs an adult to keep an eye on him. And before you even start telling me that you and kids don't go well together, you have to remember last year when you helped that kid finding her parents."

It looked like Shannon wanted to argue, but instead she remained silent for a few more minutes. Her hands disappeared in her pockets and a small smile spread on her lips when she remembered that one day last summer. The little girl was only six years old and had been in tears when she asked her for help.

Ms. Beiste still couldn't believe that such a little girl, Katie, would go to a big woman like her for help. She was glad the girl did, though.

"That's different. Katie was lost and I only helped her find her parents. That's it."

"But you still talk to her sometimes, don't you?" Shannon nodded his head and frowned slightly. Her friend did have a point there. "Come on, Shan. He needs you."

"Why? Why me?"

"Well you can use the money, can't you?" Dorie asked, but she already knew the answer. Shannon was fired not a long time ago and has been looking for another job ever since, but without any luck. "It's not that he'll be really living here. Whenever his parents aren't home; which is kind of a lot, I'll bring him here."

Shannon thought about it for a moment. The bills have been growing and last week they warned her that she had to pay the rent or they would kick her out.

She ignored it back then, but she knows that the chance of living in a car grows with the day.

If the boy lives here and really pays the amount of money Dorie is talking about, that problem will be over.

"He doesn't have any friends?"

Dorie looked sad and shrugged. "Not that I know of. He always comes to me after school when I'm home and he never brings friends over. I asked him about it recently and he told me there was this one guy, but they don't really talk after school."

And this seemed to convince Ms. Beiste. A boy like that deserved to have a good place to stay and even though Shannon wasn't sure if her place was the right one, she was willing to try.

"Okay. Bring him over." She said and Dorie smiled before she turned around and walked to the door. She looked back one more time and waved happily at her friend.

"Blaine will be very happy to hear this." She exclaimed before closing the door and walking towards her car. Shannon was left alone in her apartment. She laid down on the couch and tried to enjoy her last few hours alone in this place for a while.

"Don't make me regret it." She breathed aloud before she closed her eyes and drifted asleep.
