He held onto his son with a hopeless faith.

Silent sobs racked his slender body; pains of the horrors he witnessed surged through his stomach.

He held onto his son with hands of regret.

Visions of that final blow blasted his mind's eye.

He held onto his son with unanswered apologies.

He held onto his son with a familiarity that made him sick.
