Flannel sheets fell from a half-naked form and pooled at feminine thighs. Warmed fingertips found her wrist as her legs swung over the side of her shared bed and pulled her the slightest bit closer towards the owner, the tingling of cool lips pressed against the inside of her wrist, begging her to stay.
"Mathi—"
Blind eyes turned towards the man on the other side of her. She did not know what he looked like, he could have been the ugliest creature on Earth and she'll never know. But, since she could not see to begin with, it was an irrelevant fact about whether or not her boyfriend was pleasing to the eyes or not – she didn't care for looks, anyway.
"Ahh."
He breathed, brushing his fingers across her upper arm and pulling her close. He was leaning up-right and leaned in closer to Freja, his deaf ears could not hear the sounds that escaped his own lips. Lips that he never hesitated to place upon her own. He couldn't help it, she was just so damn beautiful and she didn't even know it. Mathias was always discouraged that he couldn't hear what she sounded like, and that was one of the only things he regretted about his condition. It didn't bother him that he couldn't go see a movie in the theaters, or that he couldn't listen to music, just that he couldn't hear Freja.
"Ahie—L…ohv—yew. So mu—ch."
Freja held in her breath when his mouth found hers and his hands slid comfortably into her golden hair, behind her ears and held the back of her head. Closing his eyes, he felt like he was one with her, just like her; blind and comfortable in the dark. It did not matter that they had what the other lacked, whether it be sight or hearing. As long as they had each other.
"Did you he—r…? ah sad, 'ah lohv yew.'"
He held her back a bit to watch her smile curl her lips and a nod to bob her head.
"Yes. I heard you. I love you too, Mathias."
The blonde Dane grinned, a blithe state of mind clouding his visage as his mind processed what her lips were saying and kissed her again and again.
Their love was unique, so unique it almost doesn't work – but they pay no mind. They help each other grow and live and they didn't know what they would be doing if they didn't have each other.
