One Look

One look. That was all it took. One look and she was lost.

His lips crashed down on hers, his hands tangling in her ebony curls. One look and her pain, her desire, her anger, her lust exploded out of her. A moan escaped and tears streamed down her face as he pulled her closer.

One look and she knew she couldn't do it. She couldn't let him break her again. She wrenched herself from his lips, choking back a sob. She pushed him away and headed into the kitchen, not wanting him to see her like this. Vulnerable. Weak.

One look and she knew she was wrong. She felt his presence before she saw him. His hand wrapped around her wrist, pulling her to face him. A finger forced her chin up. She met his gaze. His eyes burned into her, as though searching the very depths of her soul.

Lips, hands, kisses, caresses, tears, smiles.

One look. That was all it took. One look and she was lost.
