I am oh-so-very sorry about this. I was reading the dossiers on the Shadow Broker's base and... this popped into mind :(
Shepard's first impression of Miranda wasn't a very good one. She came off as cold and abrasive, not to mention being a top agent for Cerberus. The past few weeks that followed however, regularly making rounds every other day to check up on the crew, the woman had begun to warm up to him. The icy mask she had been wearing had begun to melt, especially after having secured her sister's safety.
It didn't help that she had the body of a goddess. And that catsuit, it practically oozed sexual appeal. There was no doubt about it, he wanted her. Having broken down her emotional barriers, there was one more obstacle to overcome. Since their first mission together Shepard had noticed an air of sexual tension between Jacob and Miranda. As desirable as Miranda was, he wasn't going to let petty jealousy ruin his blossoming friendship. With Kaidan gone, Shepard had been feeling a little lost without a personal confidante. They were both kind of bland and offered redundant tactical appraisal. He liked that.
Shepard strolled into the armoury. His Lieutenant turned and faced him, snapping off a neat salute. Unneeded as this was, Jacob was an Alliance soldier at heart, showing his respect for the older man just seemed appropriate. "Commander."
"At ease, Jacob. I came up here to ask something of a personal question. You mind?"
"I'm not one to force these talks, but if you have anything specific go ahead."
"I noticed a certain attraction between you and Miranda, is something going on there?", Jacob's face immediately lit up. Shepard had seen the man smile before, but this time it held a certain air of.. smugness?
"I'm good with you going after Miranda. That is, if you're good with sloppy seconds", he jibed.
Jacob had always seemed like a polite, level-headed man. To hear that from him shocked Shepard quite a bit.
"What the hell? If you still have feelings for Miranda, that's fine. But you don't insult her like that. Not anyone like that, you hear me?"
"Sorry Commander, but I've never actually had sex with her. I was talking about the Illusive Man. Do you really want to go where creepy old men have gone before?"
