Sleeping Beauty, Her Prince, and Her Princess
Author Note: Very short prolouge, I'm still beating myself up for the shortness, but oh well. Enjoy folks. I don't own Final Fantasy Versus XIII either.

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful goddess.

She was beautiful, and kind, always welcoming the souls of the departed into her kingdom and worshipped by humans from different countries.

But this particular goddess had an envious twin brother, the God of Chaos. He believes the people should worship him and only him.

So he came up with a plan to trap his twin sister in an eternal sleep, and for the most part his plan was successful.

He did manage to trap his twin sister in the world of dreams and nightmares, and entomb her, in the plains where humans and animals dwell.

With his underlings – demons really- guarding his imprisoned sister from humans, and from whomever else may venture cross his sister's tomb, spirit, or animal.

For he isn't a fool, he knows quite well there is always a chance that his sister may be awaken, by the humans she loves so dearly.

But there is something the God of Chaos doesn't know about.

Moments before Goddess of Death feel under her sleeping spell, she granted her powers to a small group of people, six children who had been close to death.

Two of six were royalty, a young boy whose hair was the color of midnight, and eyes that changes color from a cerulean blue to a ruby garnet color. Shy, but he was naturally kindhearted.

The other was a princess, whose kingdom was victim of the Cold War going on. Some would say that she is exact opposite of the midnight haired prince, for her hair shines brightly like rays of sunlight on a warm spring day, with cerulean-violet eyes.

While both the prince and the princess were kindhearted by nature, the princess was more talkative, and outgoing. But the two of them and the rest of the six were granted very similar powers.

The ability to summon different weapons, magic, things that normal humans would never be able to do, but it was in the dreams of these children the goddess of death talks to them.

Offering them advice, among other things.

Perhaps it's the Goddess of Death true desire for one of the people she bestowed power on to awake her, or perhaps it was her desire for these children to defend themselves against her twin brother, the God of Chaos. Perhaps a little of both.

But this particular fairytale isn't about the Goddess of Death waiting for her prince charming to wake her up, and they live happily ever after, instead it is about the Prince of the Night Sky and the Princess of Stars, and it is there story that is worth telling.
