Bang You're Dead
A/N: A plot bunny attacked me when I read the WPBA forum (When Plot Bunnies Attack) and this is the result of The First Sentences Challenge no. 041. Bang, you're dead...
"Bang, you're dead…"
Lt. Col. Sheppard aimed his gun at McKay who wore a very stricken expression.
"Me…I'm dead?" McKay's expression wore off to be replaced with a frown. "How am I dead? It took me forever to find this spot, and then you come waltzing in here and…" suddenly his expression cleared. "Why you cheating liar…!" Rodney all but shouted.
John looked only innocent as Rodney turned his own gun on him. "Come on now, Rodney, what are friends for? Besides, I wouldn't advise that." That being Rodney shooting him.
"At least I don't walk around with a concealed Life Signs Detector!" Rodney yelled, firing his weapon at Sheppard.
The short zap was followed by vibration as Sheppard's vest activated from the 'shot.'
"Alright, Teyla, Ronon, you can come out now…Colonel Sheppard cheated!" John tried to fire his own weapon at Rodney, but it refused to fire – enough so that he actually began to remove the battery case.
"Cheater, huh, Rodney?" John held up his 'gun' and the empty battery compartment. "Looks like you're not above it yourself." The smirk disappeared suddenly as the vibration of Rodney's vest activated, along with Rodney's voice.
"Hey, Ronon! What was that for?"
John sighed and shook his head, looking up suddenly as the lights in the hallway turned on.
"John? Rodney?" Elizabeth entered the hallway and found herself suddenly trying to cover the smile of amusement on her face. "What are you doing with the laser tag equipment?"
"Cheating, apparently," Ronon said, as his own vest activated with a buzz and Teyla emerged victoriously.
A/N: Alright, so maybe not my best, but hopefully it was amusing to those who needed a 'pick-me-up'. Heh, gotta love the WPBA forums and all those plot bunnies lying in wait. Unfortunately for me, however, I get attacked by plot cougars…the ones that attack with a vengeance before running off when you put up a fight…which leaves me (sadly) plotless.
