Runaway with me
I was just your average girl. I had big brown eyes and crazy brown hair. I was pretty on the eyes but nothing more. Well so I thought. I studied myself in the mirror. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor girl looking back. She wore makeup and a beautiful white dress. She looked angelic. That wasn't me, so how could it be my reflection. I looked towards my hand, just glancing at the diamond ring on my left hand. I knew what I was about to do was a mistake, so why was I going along with it. Then there was a soft knock on my door. I turned to see my mother, a proud Hispanic woman, staring at me from my door. She looked sad yet glad all at the same time, if that were possible. Then my father walked in. He was a strong Quileute man. He didn't like the fact that I wasn't marrying his choice of husband material. I frowned slightly. I wanted to just run away while I still had a chance but there was something or someone holding me back. I'm nervous, I thought, all I need is something to calm me down. Then I heard it, his husky voice. He walked in amazing me instantly. He was my maid of honor, Embry Call. He was over six feet and buff. His pitch black hair cut like the rest of his friends, short. He walked towards me troubled. My father and mother saw this and left. Embry looked me straight in the eyes and began,"Are you sure about this?" I looked up at him, my height only being five feet six inches," Of course, I love Cole." It was a lie, I never loved Cole, but he was just a guy. Embry then smiled, but it wasn't a true and sweet smile. "Okay then," he took my hand," Let's do this." I froze, I wasn't ready for this. I didn't want this I had to run away from this. Without thinking I pulled off my veil and began to undress from my dress. Embry looked at me shocked," What are doing?" I looked at him and smiled, "I'm going to be a runaway bride." He looked at me as if I had grown two heads. So I pulled on my jeans and tee shirt and got my tennis shoes on. I saw that Embry had begun laughing,"You're serious about doing this?" I grinned,"Yea, but you have to come with me, leave with me." He shook his head, "Didn't I promise you since the first day we became friends I would be there for you through thick and thin." This made me smile even more as I began remembering the first day I had arrived in La Push and met my now best friend Embry.
