It was the dead of the night and the purple-haired male had been out all night. Slowly and quietly opening the door, Taito glanced around. It was pitch black and everyone was asleep. Good... Hopefully they wouldn't know he was gone almost all night.

He didn't even make it ten feet from the door until he felt someone grab his bandaged wrist, causing him to hiss slightly at the pain. His wounds were still relatively new, caused a few hours ago. "Taito…" the voice was heavily distorted. "Where have you been all night?" It finished.

Taito groaned. He should have known Kageito would be up at such a late hour... He always is. "None of your business, Kageito. Now let go of my wrist." He snapped. Kageito paused for a moment. "Where have you been?" He repeated, voice a tad bit more stern. "I've been out. Piss off, okay?" Taito grunted as Kageito grabbed his hand instead of his wrist.

"…Why do you do this?" He asked. Do what? Wander out of home almost every night? He just did. No one really seemed to care for him here, he was a "black sheep". "Do what?" Taito mumbled, eyes slowly adjusting to the dark. "Leave every night and if you don't, haul yourself up in your room all day and night harming yourself..." Both got quiet.

Taito shrugged. "I just do. You people don't seem to like me because I hurt myself but I enjoy hurting myself." Taito mumbled. Kageito's face softened to that of sympathy. "I like you… To a certain extent…" he insisted. "Whatever... Can you let go of me now?" It took a few seconds but Kageito did indeed let go.

Turning away, Taito mumbled something along the lines of "just leave me alone" and walked upstairs, leaving Kageito by himself.

Taito shut the door to his room and sighed. Why'd Kageito even bother with him? He wouldn't change, even if it wouldn't make him such an outcast anymore. They would have to deal with him being... Him.

He sat down on the bed and laid down. "It doesn't matter..." He murmured to himself.

"What doesn't matter?"

Opening his eyes, Taito shrieked upon seeing Kageito wearing that odd mask. "Fuck-!" He yelped, sitting upwards now. "Dammit, Kageito, I said leave me be! I'm going to sleep!"

"..."

"..."

"Why?"

Dammit. "Cause it's a normal function! Well, not for you since I don't think I've ever seen you sleep, but I do! Now go!" Taito barked. "You didn't answer my question... Why do you hurt yourself?" Kageito put his mask back onto the side of his head. "Do you as well wish to disappear?"

Taito grew quiet. "Tch... I just do, okay?" He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Why?" The black-haired male tilted his head. "...I like how it feels I guess... It also relieves stress." Taito laid back down. "Oh, I see, I see!" Kageito grinned. "So, big brother is a masochist?" Saying this, Kageito got a pillow thrown at him. "Just go away!" He snapped.

Laughing, Kageito quickly disappeared, leaving Taito alone at last. "Brat..." Taito murmured and closed his eyes, falling asleep soon after. Kageito rested his back against the now closed door to Taito's room. He'd ask him more questions upon daybreak. If he could find him, that is.
