Author's Note:

Hey guys, this is my first Fan Fiction; not only just for the DaVinci Code, By Dan Brown, but for writing in general. I accept ANY reviews, whether it is constructive criticism or praise. Please review!

And this may or may not be a one shot. I'm still deciding whether or not to expand.

Chapter One

For a moment, he thought he heard a woman's voice…

The wisdom of the ages…

Whispering up from the chasm of the earth.

Langdon POV

As Langdon peered down into La Pyramide Inversee, he thought he saw a shadow.

"Teabing Isn't here." He thought aloud. Suddenly, Langdon spotted the nearly invisible handle of what seemed to be an impossibly small door on the surface of the pyramid. He slid closer, hesitantly reaching out to touch the handle, as if it would disappear if he moved to quickly, when he saw the shadow again. Langdon turned, holding his breath in case it was his last, to see none other than…

Sophie, he thought, of course.

Sophie POV

"You realized it as well, Robert?" she smirked, although it was obvious she already knew the answer. He was there, after all.

"I did. As well as what might lie beyond this entrance."

"Magnifique!" Sophie exclaimed, more excited than she had been in years. Her grandfather had died for this secret; her parents died because of it. She welcomed the thought of carrying on the legend, knowing where it was. Where it is, she noted, I now know exactly where it is.

She bolted over to the pyramid and pryed the creeking, ancient door open. The door was just large enough for a grown man to slip through. How did I not notice this, Sophie marveled, I grew up here, climbed on this pyramid, much to the guards dismay. How did I never notice this?

She and Langdon stepped through the glass entrance.

Langdon POV

Langdon looked around, his heart racing. Maybe it wasn'tsuch a good idea climbing into a hundred year old box that could lock us in forever, Langdon thought, his claustrophobia setting in.

Suddenly, the floor began to shift beneath them, slowly lowering them into an abyss of darkness and uncertainty.

"We are going into the tomb of Mary Magdalene." Langdon stated blankly, dumbfounded. "This is truly… amazing."
