Bella's Point of View
As Edward and I drove to the small, Seaside High School, I had flashbacks of twenty years ago on my first day at Forks High School. This was the first time I was going to back to high school. I went through collage twice after Renesmee grew-up but with our frequent moves; we've decided to start younger this time.
Even as beautiful as I am, I still fussed over what to wear. Alice being off in Canada with Jasper didn't help either, but eventually I decided on pants and a long-sleeved cotton shirt.
Upon arrival, we parked near the front in a 'visitor's only' space to get our schedules from the office.
Walking into a high school was different from walking into a collage, everyone was staring, everyone! I was immediately pleased with my clothing choice, it would have been terrible if I had worn a skirt.
My human instincts seemed to kick back in and I immediately got self conscious. I started tugging on my shirt and Edward just wrapped his arm around me and it brought me back to reality, they weren't focusing on my flaws, they were focusing on my beauty. Edward however tightened his grasp and started to tense shooting a glare at some boys that were gawking, I could only begin to imagine what they were thinking.
We finally reached the office and the secretary was just as bad as the kids, however now it was my turn to be jealous.
"Well hello." She said when she could finally speak.
"Hello, we're Edward Hale, and Bella Cullen. We're new and need our schedules." He said and she melted at his voice.
"Oh, yes, well… umm…" She stuttered.
"Yes, here they are, get this signed by all your teachers and then return it here tomorrow after school." She gave him both our papers and started looking for something else.
"Oh, yes. Here is the school map." She said again handing them both to Edward.
Edward thanked her and we left the office right after she reminded us that it was an 'A day'. We went back to the car met by even more stares as people began showing up. Once in the car he and I took one glance at the map instantly memorizing it. Edward was in a considerably worse mood than he was this morning.
"What's wrong?" I asked
"The boy's weren't nearly as bad when we were attending collage." He mumbled.
"I'm sorry." I said truthfully, just seeing the girls gawk at Edward was hard, I couldn't even imagine if I knew what they were thinking.
He grabbed my hand and kissed it. "Ready?" He asked me. I simply nodded and we got out, ready to start the next chapter of our existence together.
A/N – Just a quick little beginning, tell me what you think!
