Prologue

Naruto read the lines over and over again. Two years. It had been two years since he made his promise to Sakura and to himself. Glazing out, looking about the village, we wondered why he was the only person who seemed to notice something was missing. The only trouble was, he didn't know what. His training with ero-senin had its pro's and con's. He had mastered his technique and even began to use wind chakra, although he still was a long way off.

He looked over Konohagakure, laying on top on Tsunade's office. He wasn't entirely sure why he was here either. Every day, just as the sun was going to set he would race up to the tower, lay and listen to Tsunade and her assistant talking, well... mostly Shizune. Nonetheless, he was still grateful. Today, he had found an old scrap from he's genin days, he was playing with it in one of his hands while the other rested on his head, using his long blonde hair as a cushion ; just thinking...

He had return from training with Jiraiya to finding his world had changed. Sakura had change, really changed. She had super strength and was mastering medical arts, most of the rookie nine had changed too. Kiba's dog was now huge! He couldn't believe how he had grown. ..

" ... and the Gaara would like the thank you for he's recent stay within the village..." Shizune's voice filtered through his thoughts. Even Gaara had changed since he left, it made him wonder how he had changed, it made him wonder how he had changed

" thats enough dribble Shizune!" Rushed the hokage, that had caught Naruto's attention. The last time she was this impatence was because the elders had spoke to her about the akatasukimovement. He sat up a bit straighter now and listened carefully, this was going to be important

"what did the elders say about Sasuke". Sasuke, Naruto thought .

"oh, that." Shizune looked down, "he is to be declared a threat to the village as soon as possible. They do not know of his strength and someone who possesses the sharigan outside the village is a threat". No!

Naruto jumped up. They couldn't, they wouldn't!

"they want someone to be sent to require more information about the uchiha. And if they are to find the Uchiha..." Naruto held his breath "... they are to kill him."

Naruto's whole world stop. He had been training for two years to bring back Sasuke. And thats where it hit him. Sasuke. He couldn't let his friend be found. He didn't like to admit it, but Sasuke was just getting stronger. Sure, he was going about it the wrong way but he had his reasons. He was about to jump through the open window when the sound of Tsunade exhaling brought him to a stop. He listened very closely to the next words he didn't want to hear.

"and of Naruto?" Shizune eyed the floor

" they want him tagged within the village. They acknowledge he has become stronger... but they are more worried about his ability to control the demon. They have requested he is to say within the village for now on, with chakra brackets and to be followed at all times..." Shizune faded out.

Naruto had already jumped off the building and was halfway to his flat.

They couldn't, they wouldn't!, they couldn't, they... He could only think of one thing when he entered his mind. He had to get out of here
