"He fakes right, then he goes left and slam dunk! The crowd goes wild!"
"Joshua that didn't count," my best friend Jason said. I stopped dribbling the ball then I put it underneath my arm and looked at him. He is tall for a 10 year old, but so am I. When we play basketball at school, we're usually the first ones team captains pick. He has thick black hair and hazel eyes and dark skin. Jason and I have been best friends since we were babies.
"Come on Jason you know that counts," I laughed. Jason gave me an evil grin as he slapped the ball from underneath my arm; I ran after him, but it was too late.
"Yes slam dunk! Ha-ha!" I rolled my eyes as he ran around in circles like a maniac. He stopped and plopped down on the grass to catch his breath. I walk towards him and stretch out my hand, and he takes it.
"Joshua and Jason, snack time," my mom called. I let go of Jason's hand and pushed him down.
"No fair cheater!" Jason yelled as he got back up. We raced to the door.
"I win!"
"Whatever, bro. I can beat you in a race anytime."
"Alright we can have a rematch right now." The front door opened and my mom poked her head out and looked at us.
"Guys knock it off and come on inside and sit down," she ordered. We went inside and washed our hands then we took a seat at the table.
"Mmmm…. Aunt Kate these chocolate chip cookies smell great," Jason stated. We both licked our lips as she put a plate of cookies on the table. I smiled at my mom and she smiled back at me. My mom's curly brown blackish hair goes down a little bit passed her shoulders. She has beautiful chestnut eyes and smooth light brown skin. My sister and I have the same eye color as my mom and we have her hair color too, but we have my dad's thick wavy hair texture.
"Joshua go upstairs and get your sister please." I got up from the table and ran upstairs to my sister's room. I looked at my sister's custom sticker our dad got her for Christmas last year. It says: Princess Emily's room. I turned the door knob and found my sister playing with her American Girl Dolls Molly and Kit.
