Disclaimer: Do you really think i am David Shore? Thought so...
A short drabble. I watched Three stories yesterday and the idea got stuck in my head. No pairings. Enjoy.
Chase had never liked dogs. If anyone asks, he is more of a cat-person. Or maybe not a pet-person at all. It has nothing to do with the huge, black, constantly barking dog his neighbours had when he was a kid. Nothing at all.
It isn't a problem. He is just slightly uncomfortable around either really big, or really wild dogs. And frankly, who isn't?
But this wasn't a dog, it was a beast. A monster. (Unbelievable the old man risked his life to protect this thing!) And of course he and Foreman ended up taking saliva samples from said monster. He was going to kill House later. Or at least poison him a little. And the fact that this was far from the worst thing House had made them do wasn't exactly comforting.
After a few minutes of half-hearted advances (mainly from Foreman) and quite a few curses (from both of them) Foreman grabbed a chair, expression firm, and gestured that he'd do the same. Chase merely groaned.
They drew closer to their target from different directions, the mad dog verily eyeing them both, and in a quick attack they actually managed to capture it. Chase wasn´t sure if he should be surprised or just relieved. He settled for relieved, until he remembered they still had the worst part left.
"I'll hold him. You swipe him up" Foreman said, keeping the dog relatively still under the chair.
Oh no…
"I think I have a better grip down here." he tried. "You go for the mouth." No reaction. "Alright. Rock, paper, scissor."
"Are you serious? Well come on then, one, two, three…"
"Damn…!" Chase slipped through gritted teeth.
Damn, damn, damn!
"It could bite my hands off, you don't let go!"
"Just do it!"
The dog gave a very clear indication of exactly what it was going to do with Chase's hand if it dared to come any closer.
"I say we let the guy die?"
He was barely joking.
"I say just do it."
But he would rather die himself than let Foreman know that.
