Chapter 1-The Drink

Don't get me wrong as a hypocrite for asking, I'm just putting the disclaimer so critics won't trash me.
Well… This is my first story, so whatever, "flame" me or say something nice, your choice.
OH and by the way, I'm doing the part where Enishi, the crazy white haired guy, has his first fight with Kenshin, and he finds Kaoru all alone. I guess this can be a spoiler alert.

Kaoru's eyes widened with fear as she saw Enishi come through the fog. His insane smile threw chills down her back. He grabbed her recklessly, gagging her mouth with cloth.
"Shhh, you are my wild card little girl. I'll let you go if you don't scream" he whispered. Kaoru didn't see the point, her throat felt tight, to terrified to breathe. Enishi started to speak again, a frightening glint ..in his eyes.
"You see this bottle?" he showed her a small green glass of liquid, "This is something that will make you sleep for three days. I'll make a deal with you, drink the liquid, and I'll leave Kenshin alive." Again, Kaoru agreed. Anything for Kenshin, she thought. In the stale feeling situation she felt some warmth as she remembered his smile. But the phase ended as Enishi laughed and forced the bottle through Kaorus mouth. Her eye sight dimmed and fuzzed. Soon enough all she saw was darkness. Enishi's laughter seemed like a far echo from a place she couldn't reach…
Later on…
"Kaoru!! KAORU!! Wake up, wake up please…" Kenshin begged. Tears streamed down his face. "Kaoru dono, I'm sorry, I couldn't protect you…" Megumi and the others sadly mourned outside of the area, feeling guilty as Kenshin's cries wandered.
