Arriving at the druid stones in the feerrott, he gathers his courage and
starts headed for a place he once saw in a vision, a hidden cave in the
mountains. It was raining, and he was cold and wet, and fairly frightened,
the forest was dark at night, and not at all inviting to visitors. Giant
spiders and snakes walked the earth around him, as well as the occasional
lizard, he knew this place was theirs and they were allowing his presence.
As he neared the mountains his anxiety grew almost to the point that he
turned back. As he got near to the mountains he heard strange sounds, Erie
moans, and could smell the stench of the undead.
He prepared himself for what he knew would be a fight of his life and stared searching for the hidden cave. As he was walking past a tree he was sliced in the back, a shallow pain filled cut that knocked him to the ground, as he spun around to see what it was, he saw but a shadow. Getting to his feet, he quickly looked around, and started walking more carefully then before toward the foothills, looking for an entrance to the cave. The closer he got to the mountains the more his stomach turned, and the less willing his legs were to make a step forward. He stopped for a moment to rest and gather himself together, leaned against a rock and phased out of reality.
Waking up he found himself in a very open cavern with skeletons walking around. In front of him was a large stone archway, eloquently carved with magical ruins. Near it stood a young woman, she was making gestures and uttering words he could not understand. The archway started to glow and the ruins shimmered as the opening covered with a wave or brown energy. He got a ill feeling as the archway filled, he could feel the pain and fear of so many souls as he stood near the archway. The girl turned and looked at him. She slammed her arms forward toward him and fangs shot from her fingers. Just as they were to hit him he woke up near the rock he was resting against.
Quickly to his feet he wondered how long he had been laying there, he looked around and saw nothing out of place, it was quiet, more so then usual, it was still dark so he could not have been down for that long. Picking up his packs and gear he continued to search for the cave, more sure then ever that it was there. As he got deeper into the foothills he began feeling ill, and sorrowful, again he could hear the pain stuck moans. He turned his course and went toward them.
As the noises got closer he moves slower with more caution, wanting to see what was making the hideous sounds, she saw a shadowed figure much like the one that sliced him wander out of the bear rock face of the hill. Moving quietly up near where the figure left he felt around the rocky walls and found that there in fact was a cave, covered by an illusion that looked just like the wall around it. Swallowing hard and taking a deep breath he slowly walked inside. Lighting a torch so he could see for the little natural light that was outside from the stars was now gone as well.
The cave was very damp and musty, along with his ill feeling, even breathing was becoming a chore, still he crawled deeper into the cave, it twisted and curved, but there were no off paths so he was no afraid of being lost.
