This is an expansion on a story featured in Moonkit's Prophecy. I'd suggest reading that story, it's really popular. But if you haven't read Hollyleaf's Redemption yet, then read that one first. You don't need to read either of those stories to understand this one though. This is just a random story I thought up after I dreamt of it.
Silverpelt's Legend
Prologue
According to the clan legend, Silverpelt, the night sky, came to be because of a beautiful ShadowClan she cat. Her pelt was black, with silver tabby markings. She had bright blue eyes, and was the most beautiful she cat in all the clans. Her name was Silverpelt, and she was much loved by all in her clan, in particular, Moonheart, the clan deputy. Tragically, she fell in love with a ginger RiverClan tom named Sunpelt. Sunpelt was a brave, loyal, RiverClan warrior, but he loved Silverpelt just as much as she loved him.
Eventually, Silverpelt decided to leave ShadowClan, to be with Sunpelt. But Moonheart was selfish, and wanted her all to himself. He would not let her leave. There was a battle between Moonheart and Sunpelt, and just as Moonheart was about to kill Sunpelt, Silverpelt leaped between them and died. Sunpelt couldn't bear to see her dying, and would not live without her. He killed himself in order to be with her. Moonheart was in shock, and horrified at what he had caused. He ran away from the two dead cats, straight into the Thunderpath where he was hit by a monster.
Until then, no clan cat had died. There was no actual StarClan. Their ancestors, who had vowed to watch over them from the stars, had no true home. Silverpelt became the night sky, and the home of StarClan. Sunpelt, her true love, became the sun, and Moonheart became the moon.
Supposedly, this story is based on a true one about three cats who really did live inthe early days of the clans. Tis is the true story of Silverpelt.
