So it was set. David and Xzan were to seek and destroy this black dragon named Catryn. So it brings us to the next morn and 9 o'clock.
"Hello Xzan", said David as he walked to where Xzan was standing.
"Ah, David, I am pleased to see you", said Xzan. "Are you ready for the venture?"
And David quite was. He looked quite good in his studded leather armor, and with the greatsword on his back and the double-bladed orc battle- axe equipped he looked mighty deadly. The pouch of poison on his belt was hanging there, also. To say the least, Xzan was pleased.
"You look good old friend, you look good", Xzan smiled.
"Thank you Xzan, you look good yourself", David replied.
Xzan was also wearing studded leather armor, but with steel-plated boots, magical healing potions on his belt, spiked gauntlets on his hands, a Dwarven Urgosh and Halbred in his hands, a Dwarven Waraxe on his back, along with a two-bladed sword, a heavy mace, and two rapiers. He gave the Darven Waraxe to David and one of the rapiers. Xzan now had a Dwarven Urgosh in his right hand and the heavy mace in his left hand, with the two- bladed sword, a Halbred, and a rapier on his back. David now had a greatsword in his hands and a Dwarven Waraxe and rapier on his back.
David smiled. "This is just like the old days Xzan, just like the old days." Xzan smiled and nodded.
"To the mountain," Xzan said and pointed his Dwarven Urgosh to the mountain.
