Just a simple short one-shot. I'm so glad it's Christmas time.

They were just waiting for that one moment that could signify everything. Making the future they both saw coming, a reality. They just never thought it would happen tonight.

"Come on you guys its tradition," Alex Cabot urged the two detectives that were standing directly under the mistletoe that just happen to be strategically placed in the precinct.

Both detectives looked like a deer caught in the head lights, neither knowing if they should make the first move or not. They both knew what this moment could mean it could change everything or nothing at all. To say Olivia had butterflies in her stomach would be an understatement, she could stand up and take down any perp, but Elliot Stabler made her go weak at the knees and she hated he had that effect on her.

Elliot was the first to react taking a step forward, but a step so small it could barely be considered a step. Olivia on the other hand, found it so hard to breath she was sure her face was turning blue, but all she could do was stare into beautiful blue eyes that haunted her dreams so many nights.

"You all can't get out of it like you did last year, Elliot your divorced, and Olivia your single, besides what could it hurt it's just a kiss," Munch stated trying to be the voice of reason, but in reality he just wanted the 50 bucks he had riding on the bet.

Olivia forced a smile and slight chuckle as she made a step toward Elliot that he matched, she knew she wanted this, but she also knew it could change everything. The sexual tension between the two of them over the years was so thick you could have cut it with a knife.

"Yeah it's just a kiss, no big deal," Fin chimed in, who also had 50 riding on the bet.

Elliot shrugged to Olivia never breaking eye contact with her as he put his hand on her waist slowly pulling her to him. They both smiled nervously at each other, this was it the moment of truth, do or die, sink or swim, get a lover or lose your best friend. They both knew that the kiss would really mean more than just a kiss, it would be one of those memories that good or bad neither would forget. And the funny, thing everyone else knew the same thing.

So you be the judge did they kiss or didn't they.
