Disclaimer: Not mine. Marlowe it's a bloody genius, and his work is just feeding bunnies, and they get annoyingly loud when they are sugar high-ed.

You ignore the demolition dynamite, you never have her. You pass her the bomb trigger, she most certainly dies. Get discovered in this bad-worse scenario, you loose all.

Demolition Assessment

You've spent almost three years trying to get past her walls.

Irony. There is a word you rarely hear used right. You wish it weren't such a perfect fit now, perfectly molded into that knife shaped hole in your heart.

You are, in a very insidious, indirect, way, trying to hold those walls from falling down now.

See, they are tied to her mothers murder. That's not new. Since the first day you knew she was hurt deeply, and that the scars remade her. And you knew she wore that pain as a shield against men, and relationships, and love. You even accused her of it.

She just basically told you she'd never really give herself to love 'till the wall it's gone, that she needed to solve her mothers murder that was the founding stone for that to happen. And almost as soon as you think "Here we are, admittance, first step onto the straight path", and prepare for a long, arduous, but ultimately rewarding, journey, you get to this fork.

Choose your poison.

You ignore the demolition dynamite, you protect her life, you never have her. You pass her the bomb trigger, put her in the way to heal her heart, she most certainly dies.

Get discovered in this bad-worse scenario, you loose all.

So you are underpinning. It's not only ignoring. You have to actively impede her ramming into it. She'd go into the case like a wave against the rocks, never stopping but in obliteration. She's crashed twice, gotten so close to break into a million droplets and mist, still gearing for a third. So you curve the tide. You take her arguments as your own, and ain't that the name of the game now, this reversal of roles?. She was the one not calling this time, and you are sure there is another pretty fit for that stupid word around.

For now, you've diverted the wave. For now, it's enough. "For now" won't keep. You didn't need you mother to point it. And if you get discovered, you loose all.

So, really, in this two doors scenario, number one pain, number two agony, be seen standing in front gets you shot in the heart, there is only one thing to do.

You keep the trigger in your hand, and blow the dynamite yourself, of course.

AN: I just saw the "Rise"... yeah... I'm... It was... predictable, and the acting stilted. But the way the ongoing plot was put in the back-burner was perfect, and the swings scene was a gem. And I'm run over with dabbles, lol.
