I always thought I would be attending Harvard before I would consider leaving Stars' Hollow. I guess fate had other plans for me and they did not involve Harvard or Stars'hollow. The did however involve things I never ever thought were possible – magic and a school where young witches and wizards learned to use it. The day I received the owl in Luke's diner was a day that changed everything. It had thrown into a whole new world far away from the only place that ever felt like home, thrown me into his world.
He, of course is Harry Potter, the boy who lived and my best friend at Hogwarts. In spite of everything he doesn't have he is the most amazing boy I know. He is smart, funny and very brave. By the time we were in our third year at Hogwarts, he had save the school three times. Yet he is humble. Now we are in fourth year and he is now one of our school's representatives in the Tri-Wizard Tournament along with Cedric Diggory who is in sixth year and a Ravenclaw like me.
Harry is a Griffyndor, but I really hope he wins this because I know how much it means to him to be famous for something other than surviving the curse that killed his parents. Harry Potter, I believe is the bravest boy in our year and possibly at Hogwarts, risking death for eternal glory for himself and for the school. Why would he worry about not surviving the tournament? From what I've heard he has survived a lot worse things.
Mom and Lane tease me a lot about Harry Potter. They seem to think I have a little crush on Harry. Maybe they're right. Maybe I do like him a little. Well okay, I'll admit it. I like Harry Potter a lot. I have one problem, though. How do I get Harry to notice me when he doesn't even seem to know I am alive? There is only one girl Harry is noticing at the moment. That girl is the one person I talk to in my house. The girl Harry likes is Cho Chang. It saddens me to say that when she's around I don't even exist.
