A/n- boy another song fic, and yes I know I should be working on the lasting year, but no one seems to care about it. Oh well. Now I know that everyone is sick of me doing song fics, but I keep hearing these songs and going oh that would make a good one, so deal, no flames about how you don't like country bla bla bla. Oh yeah and the lyrics are what she says to Harry. H/h forever!

That light in your eyes
Harry and Hermione stood on the platform at Kings Cross for the last time ever together. They had just graduated and Harry was going off to fight Voldemort. Hermione was still trying to get herself to say to Harry what she had been meaning to ever since her fifth year, since she figured it out. That she loved Harry.
As they stood there on the platform hugging each other full of encouragement and nervousness, a burst of courage sprang through a wall in Hermione and she pulled back a little from the hug so she could whisper in his ear.
"Life can take your dreams and turn them upside down. Friends will talk about you when you're not around. Reality can really cut you down to size. But don't ever lose that light in your eyes. Don't ever lose that light in your eyes," she whispered in a singsong voice.
He pulled back from the hug further so he could look into her eyes.
"What?"
She continued.
"People make you promises they'll never keep. Soon you'll know why people say talk is cheap. And life resembles one big compromise. But don't ever lose that light in your eyes."
"Hermione, I caught that, well something similar to it, the first time. But what does it mean?"
"Keep on shining. Keep on shining. Don't lose faith and don't lose heart. When you're crying. Just keep trying to remind yourself, you're a shining star. Yes you are."
He pulled back from her even further, and began to yell.
"What does that mean Hermione? What does it mean?"
"I means that I like you," she said smiling and once again, wrapping him into a hug.
"Seriously?"
"Yes Harry, I do, and I've been meaning to tell you since way back."
He leaned down to her, and their lips connected, sending electricity through both of their bodies. When he pulled back, she was smiling.
"Does that mean that you like me too?" she asked.
"Yes it does," and he leaned down and kissed her again.
When they pulled apart, once again, it was time for Harry to leave. He grabbed her hands and whispered and goodbye, and turned to go. Before he was out of reach, Hermione reached out and grabbed his hand. He turned around to look at her.
"Somewhere down the line you'll face the judgment day. When the angels look at you, what will they say? They've got a way of knowing who qualifies. Just let 'em see that light in your eyes," she whispered, and he grinned, and kissed her again and then walked away. As he walked away, her words rang in his ears again.
"Don't ever lose that light in your eyes. Keep on smiling. Keep on smiling. Don't lose faith and don't lose heart. When you're crying. Just keep trying to remind yourself, you're a shining star. Yes you are."
Hermione whispered after him:
"Don't ever lose that light in your eyes. Don't ever lose that light in your eyes. Don't ever lose..."
