Anyway I hope for those of you that enjoyed the original you will really enjoy this version, enjoy :)
"CASEY THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" April screamed.
As she pushed with all her might to bring her unborn child into the world she squeezed her husband's hand to the point of almost breaking it. All the while Casey Jones just stood there beside his wife calmly rolling his eyes and wincing in pain.
"Don't worry they all say that," the doctor said smiling at the father to be, reassuring him that his wife wasn't going to divorce him after the baby was born.
"Alright April, one more big push and that will do it," the doctor said turning his attention to the woman in front of him.
True to his word after one more painful push on April's part the cry of an infant could be heard throughout the delivery room.
"Congratulations! You have a girl," the nurse cried in excitement handing the little girl to her proud parents.
Both parents were in shock and amazement as the young nurse placed the bundle of pink blankets into April's arms. They had tears in their eyes as they gazed upon their child both thinking this had to be the most beautiful sight either one of them had ever seen.
"Oh Casey I love you so much," said April holding her daughter in one arm and grabbing hold of her husband's shirt pulling him into a kiss with the other.
…
Meanwhile in the waiting room four oddly covered up gentlemen sat waiting to meet the newest member of their strange little family. They sat in complete silence until the smallest one at the end turned to the others.
"Guys I've always wondered…where do babies come from?" asked Michelangelo the youngest of the four.
The other three looked at each other funny before they all cleared their throats suddenly feeling uncomfortable.
"Has no one ever told him about the birds and the bees?" Don asked dryly not surprised to see his two older brother's shake their heads hesitantly.
"Mike you do know what sex is right?" Raphael asked him.
"Duh who doesn't," the orange masked turtle replied.
'This will make things a little easier at least' Raph thought before he explained the 'beautiful' process of childbirth.
By the time Raph had finished walking Mikey through everything the three brothers were chuckling at the disgusted and disturbed look on their little brother's face.
"Why would they go through all that just to have a drooling fart factory?" Mikey asked horrified.
Before any of them could answer Casey Jones slide into the waiting room yelling like the lunatic he was," I'VE GOT A LITTLE GIRL!"
"Mia Catherine Jones," he said beaming just as proudly as the day he took April to be his wife.
All of them stood up to give him a hug and said congratulations making a huge fuss in the waiting room. Finally the nurse sitting at the desk had to lean across the counter and shush them.
"Can we see April and the baby?" Mike asked excited.
When Casey nodded his head the smallest turtle ran ahead with his two older brothers to April's room. Raph was about to follow them but was quickly stopped by Casey who was smiling knowingly at him.
"Uhh Raph can I ask you something before we go see them?" Cassey asked.
"Ya of course, what's up?" the hot head replied.
Cassey looked like he was trying to find the right words before he explained, "well ya know your my best friend man and we trust all of you guys with our lives but…uhh well we were wondering if you wanted…to be Mia's godfather."
Raphael looked shocked by the question but at the same time he was honored to be even considered for the title.
"Cas…wow man you guys sure you want me?" Raph asked caught off guard.
"No doubt in my mind bro," Casey replied.
"Then hell yes! Thanks man…c'mere," Raph said pulling his friend into an affectionate bro hug.
The pair then proceeded to celebrate by punching each other in the arm laughing as they walked back to April's room. As they entered they were greeted by the turtles with their disguises off and April holding a large bundle in her arms giving them a dry look.
"Well by the look of those bruises I'd say you told him the news," she teased handing the baby to her husband.
"Yup," was all Casey said as he took his daughter from his wife and handed her to the hesitant red masked turtle after he to took off his disguise.
"Say hi to your god father Mia," he cooed to his daughter as she opened her eyes to see the green figure that was holding her nervously.
The small child just gurgled at him and snuggled into his chest falling asleep instantly feeling completely safe with her guardian. Raphael had never seen anything so precious in his entire life. Immediately he felt a need to protect the infant he held in his arms... then thought he was getting to mushy so he handed the kid to Mikey who was anxious to hold her.
Don walked over to April as his brothers gushed over the new addition to check on the new mother.
"She's beautiful April great job," the purple masked turtle said hugging his friend gently.
"Ya well Casey helped a little but thanks Don," the red head joked returning the embrace lovingly.
"So April planning on poppin' anymore out while were still young?" Donny teased before instantly regretting the comment when he saw the look on April's face after he pulled away from her.
One Year Later...
Mia was growing like a weed and learning things a bit quicker than most babies do her age. She was already starting to walk and babbling nonsense words that although amusing were starting to sound like distinct English words like 'mama' 'dada' and the ever popular 'baba'.
"Mia you're supposed to eat that not wash your hair with it," April said in amusement.
The redhead had turned around just in time to witness her daughter put her cereal in her hair and start massaging it into her black mop of hair. The baby's bright green eyes just stared at her and giggled as if it was all just a game for her, which more than likely was the case.
"Hey you never know babe it could do wonders for the roots," Casey said sarcastically as he picked up his daughter to go clean her off.
April just gave her husband an annoyed look before she replied, "har, har, har."
All was quiet as April went to get herself ready for company except for the sound of her daughter's giggling and husband's yelps of surprise.
"I gave him the choice of dishes or bath time," April said to herself with a smirk before he heard the sound of the window to the fire escape opening.
"Hello! Anybody home?" Donny called out when he didn't see anybody and was immediately greeted by a naked Mia running right at him and his brothers.
"Hey look! The birthday girl is in her birthday suit," Mikey called out jokingly as he picked her up.
The group instantly broke into laughter when they saw the naked baby. It only intensified at the site of a soaked Casey Jones walking out of the bathroom carrying a towel.
"Laugh it up ya moochers," he said walking over to the orange masked turtle and picked up his daughter before wrapping her in a towel.
Mia giggled before reaching her chubby arms towards Splinter and whining for him. The sensei chuckled as he plucked the infant from her father's grasp and smiled when he received a wet kiss on the cheek. Splinter couldn't help but feel good at the thought of the child thinking of him as her grandfather. He accepted the role gratefully for it felt good to have someone always seeking his attention and he could spoil which needless to say he did.
"Happy birthday my little one," he said lifting her up in the air.
Their moment was interrupted by the flash of a camera and both mutant rat and human baby looked over to see a bashful April.
"Sorry, couldn't resist. You two are so cute together," April said before smiling innocently when she saw the look on Splinter's face who was obviously not amused at the thought of being cute.
Raphael took this opportunity to steal his goddaughter away and give her a small trinket for her birthday. It was a red and gold music box with a gold ballerina inside dancing to the sugar plum fairy from the nutcracker. The little girl stared at the gift in wonder bouncing up and down in her guardian's arms.
"Raph at least wait till she's dressed and blows out her candle before you spoil her rotten please," April said flicking her friend's forehead before stealing her daughter back still wrapped in a towel.
"Honestly how many of you guys does it take to get one little girl dressed for her own birthday party?" the woman teased as she walked out of the room with Mai waving to her family as they disappeared into the room.
Once the little girl was finally dressed in her lavender, frilly party dress; Mia's first birthday party went pretty smoothly for the rest of the evening. She didn't get many presents from her small family but there was never a happier baby within a ten mile radius. Her breathtaking two tiered birthday cake was a gift from Mikey. It was vanilla cake with strawberry filling on the inside while somehow the turtle had created three dimensional icing flower buds and butterflies all over the outside of it.
From Leo she received a simple sphere shaped prism to hang in her window. It was cut in such a way that when the sun hit the prism it would look like it was raining rainbows into the little girl's room. A hand made teddy bear was given to her from Uncle Don. He had April's voice singing a lullaby recorded inside so that when the bear's paw was pressed the red head's voice could be heard singing to her daughter.
Master Splinter had managed to find a beautiful blue and silver picture frame. Inside the frame was a picture of the family from when April had brought Mia home from the hospital. Finally once the food was all eaten and the gifts were all unwrapped the Hamato finally had one last toast to their little princess.
"It's getting late you guys we should start heading back. Mia is already down for the count," Leo said referring to the child sprawled across the couch out cold.
"Party pooper," Raph said bluntly as he reluctantly got up to leave.
He had no idea what had come over him over the course of the night but he couldn't help feeling that leaving them wasn't such a good idea. Finally after debating whether or not to say anything the turtle thought he was just being paranoid as he kissed the little girl on the head before following his family out through the fire escape.
"We'll see you later you guys! Be careful getting home," April called after the brothers as she leaned out the window waving to them.
"Aren't we always?" Mikey asked sarcastically as he looked down at her from the top of the fire escape.
"Most of us anyway," Don rubbing his younger brother's head affectionately.
April shook her head before blowing them a kiss and tucking her head back inside the window. Little did the Hamato family know as they walked home that night; that would be the last time they would ever see their first human friend wave to them as they left her home.
Alright that's all for now please don't forget to update and tell me what you think :) Till next time take care.
