Memories
Chapter One
"Tokko, wake up. You're going to be late." Her mother called from downstairs.
The sleeping girl really didn't want to get up due to the extra practice she had done the night before. She didn't want to go deal with Sensei right now but she knew she had to. Lifting her self up to a sitting position, she looked around the room. The place where she slept had finally become familiar after four years. The day she came here, so many things happened she didn't know how to take it. "Shiba, why me?" She looked at the dog, who was now laying on her lap and licking her hand.
He just continued, not acknowledging her question. This irritated her occasionally, because her dog was very capable of responding. His silence never reassured her either but seeing as to he was busy, she let it go. "Tokko, are you up yet?" Her mother called up again.
"Yes." She yelled back.
Her mother pestered her often. Most of the time she knew it to be for her own good. However, after today she wouldn't have to deal with her mom for a while. She'd be training and staying with Sensei for the time being along with the others. Sensei being known as the pervert of the town, she was happy she wasn't going alone. "Tokko dear, you need to shower. Someone's waiting for you?" Her mother said from behind the door.
Waiting for me? That was the only think she could think about, seeing as to she didn't have many friends. Standing up, she walked towards the bathroom headband and clothes in hand. "Okay mom." She sighed slightly.
Stepping into the shower she heard the familiar shouts, "Shiba go away now.".
Her mom wasn't a dog person at all. That was why she had to take him with her and hope he'd assist her in battles. She hadn't been in any battles at the time but knew Sensei would force it on her sooner or later. She didn't want Shiba to miss out on that but if he couldn't help fight then what good was he? She couldn't help but laugh at herself thinking about this while taking a shower. Even she would've found such a thing to be odd, so she turned the knobs turning off the water. Stepping out she grabbed the towel and took one more look at herself in the mirror. "So long ago." She sighed.
It seemed her words echoed which scared her quite a bit. Her past wasn't a good one and she wasn't planning to reveal it to anyone or so she thought. Putting on her head band she opened the bathroom door and headed down to the kitchen. "So mom, who's this mystery person you…"
"Hi Tokko." Kiba smiled from the kitchen table.
The words wouldn't come out. She'd spoken to Kiba on rare occasions and this wasn't how it usually started. "Um, hi Kiba." She tried a failing smile.
"Honey, what do you want to eat before you training?" Her mother just stared at her.
This time she was brought to a hault. She would be leaving and didn't know what she wanted. Or maybe it was the fact the one boy she liked was sitting across from her in her own house. She knew he'd be going but didn't know he'd be picking her up. "Not to be mean Kiba but why are you here?" She asked casually.
"Tokko, you can't even say thank you to him for coming?" Her mom finally glared.
