Ariel crossed her arms and sighed in a frustrated tone. She had a scowl ok her face as she stood in her bedroom, listening to Eric try to tell her what to do.

"Ariel, you CAN'T go down to the shore without an escort anymore!" Eric tried to move closer to her, but Ariel was unmoving. He lowered his voice momentarily, his tone still frustrated, "you're pregnant. And if you go down there, and Ursula shows up, you're defenseless. And now you have another life to think about besides your own." He straightened up and folded his arms.

This argument between them had been going on for at least 10 minutes now, and Ariel had had enough. "Eric, I'll be fine! Daddy will always be near enough to come and help, should Ursula come! Why can you just understand that!?" She threw her hands up in the arm and turned away from him.

"It's dangerous, and you know it!" Eric bellowed in return, grabbing her shoulder and turning her to face him again. His dark brows were furrowed together in anger. "Don't be so selfish!"

Ariel scoffed. "I'M the one being selfish!?" she yelled, "I'M not the one telling you what you are and aren't allowed to be doing!" She glared at him.

Ariel went down to the shoreline to see her family all of the time. It was a private moment between the sea family, and Ariel wasn't about to let Eric take that away from her. Having an escort would just make the reunions awkward, both for the mermaids and humans. No, there was no WAY the redhead was about to let that happen.

"You're MY wife, and I'm trying to look after you!" Eric yelled in reply, before he let out an angry sigh. "Cod, why is it that big of a deal to you!?"

Now, Ariel was fuming, and she pursed her lips in anger. She stared at him intensely for a moment, filled with frustration. Then, she turned away again and headed for the door. "I'm going down to the beach." She stopped at the threshold, whipping her head around to glare at him, letting him know she was serious when she said, "Do NOT send someone after me." And with that, she left their room and headed for the beach.

As much as she loved Eric, some things he just wouldn't understand, as much as he thinks he does. Eventually, she knew they would make up, but she also knew that he was going to keep trying to persuade her to take someone with her when she went to visit her family. But Ariel was never going to let that happen.
