Sorry this is my first story, so any constructive criticism would be appreciated.
They load Johnny into the ambulance. When Roy settles down, Johnny starts talking.
"I'm sorry Roy….(catching his breath) about earlier" said Johnny.
"Johnny don't we will have more time for this later" said Roy.
"Roy I don't think I will make it."
"Just hang in there please Johnny."
They arrive in the ER. By now Johnny is drifting in and out of consciousness. They rush him to the OR.
Two hours later, Dr. Early comes out and tells Roy, "I'm sorry Roy but Johnny didn't make it."
Roy was devastated he and Johnny had been fighting the last two shifts, and now they could never fix it.
When Chet showed up to pickup Roy he is told the devastating news. He and Roy aren't sure what to do, but they somehow get back to the station and have to tell the rest of the guys.
