AN: Decided after the good reviews I got for my KotOR 2 one-shot, I would make a pre-KotOR one for all you Kreia/Darth Traya fans out there. Enjoy!

Okay, I don't own ANYTHING. I claim naaathiing.

Arren Kae strode down the corridors of the Dantooine Academy, a faint smirk on her face. There was nothing more satisfying than collecting more pawns for her Dejarik board. The best thing about them was how expendable they all were. She could send them out into battle and keep her other pieces in reserve for her end game. Ultimate power was hers.

And she hated it.

The Force and its infuriating followers, both light and dark were a thorn in her side. All of them were bowing down to this power that could not, would not reward them for their troubles. It was a leech, sucking away all independence these people may of had. Men and women were left vulnerable in situations where the Force would not help.

One of her pawns could change all that.

As she saw the worried form of Knight Surik make her way into Vrook's class, her smile became slightly larger. This one would become a valuable piece in her game.

And then there was the one that would be later known as Revan. He would go so far in ensuring her victory over the Force without even realising it. Revan and Surik would be her most treasured possessions. They would be able to see what the others could not.

Freedom. Freedom from the Force that kept them in chains.

No one else would know of her plans for these two and the rest of the galaxy. Those who did, she would not worry about. These events would come to pass and her chains would finally be broken. The Force shall free me? No. The Force shall be destroyed and then, I will be free. It is the will of the universe that I will succeed.

When Alek approached her, she knew the time had come.

Phase one has begun. I am Darth Traya and I will be the destroyer of the Force.
