It was a blissful Monday morning at the Blank residence. Mrs. Caroline Blank was cooking breakfast for her family. Kelly was sitting on her bed when she heard a knock on the door. She motioned to the door lazily and opened it, only to find out who was at her door.
It was her pesky little brother Caleb, he was eight and evil. He always finds it amusing to make fun of her.
"Hey stinky Kelly," Caleb paused before opening his mouth to speak again. "How's your Physics test yesterday?" He asked rather sarcastically.
Kelly was already getting annoyed so she grabbed her brother and dragged him in her room. "Would you keep it down, I don't want mom to know that there was a test in physics, okay?"
"Why, did you fail?" Caleb said again.
"No!" Kelly retorted.
"Well, the results are here." Caleb said while raising an envelope that was already tore.
Kelly's eyes grew wider, Oh no, he has my test result, shit! Kelly slowly made her way to her brother.
"Ten bucks…" He said.
Caleb was a good blackmailer, and she wouldn't be surprised if he became a con artist. He always egged on her whenever she was going to get in trouble. But hey, when he's good, he's good.
"Ten seconds to decide, ten…nine…eight…seven…six…five…four…three…" But Caleb was cut off by Kelly.
"How about five bucks" She said
"No can do," Caleb thought about it and opened his little mouth to speak. "Seven." He finally offered.
"Fine" Kelly said reaching for her wallet and getting five bucks and two dollars.
"Here."
Caleb tossed the envelope to Kelly and went down to eat.
Kelly once again, sat on her bed and grabbed her bag and placed it on her lap.
That was so close…Thank God, I have money.
